• What are the minimum system requirements for viewing the videos?
  For "downloading" videos from BIGFlix you require the 'BIGFlix Download Manager'.
  For "viewing" videos your PC must meet the following minimum system requirements:
  • Microsoft Windows XP (with Service pack 2) or Windows Vista and Windows Media Player 10 or 11.
  • Internet Explorer version 6 and above. Internet Explorer's 'Privacy' and 'Security' settings set to the default 'Medium'.
  • The BIGFlix Download Manager. You can download the 'BIGFlix Download Manager' from the My Account section after logging in to the website.
  • Broadband internet connection recommended. At least 612 Kbps speed is recommended for the best viewing experience.
  • Sufficient space on your hard drive.
  • Sound card and speakers.
  Note: Firewall and pop-up blocking software will interfere with video downloads, hence please disable before downloads are initiated. (Firewalls may be introduced after the successful receipt of a license and the initiation of the video stream.)

  • The 'BIGFlix Download Manager' is a hassle-free way to ensure your videos are download smoothly. It recovers from any connection problems you may have and ensures your videos are downloaded quickly, smoothly and without interruptions.
  • This application allows you to view and monitor all of your current and past downloads, as well as pause, restart and cancel download activity.
  • You will not be able to download videos without this application so make sure you have installed it to your computer before you start. If you don't have the 'BIGFlix Download Manager', please install it before you start. You can download the 'BIGFlix Download Manager' from the My Account section after logging in to the website.
  • The 'BIGFlix Download Manager' gives you information about your purchased videos, the progress of your downloads and their status
  This software is installed, via ActiveX, after purchase or can be initiated manually by clicking the installation link found in the My Account section after logging in to the website.
  If you are using the required Internet Explorer browser, you will be prompted to install the 'BIGFlix Download Manager' and a security alert will appear at the top of the browser window and an alert tone will sound. Click the security alert and select the 'Install' option to begin installation. Once installed, the 'BIGFlix Download Manager' icon will be appear in the system tray. • What is the quality of downloaded videos?
  We take the original high quality studio materials and convert these using state-of-the-art equipment for high quality viewing on your PC. We offer 'Super High Quality' videos that is equivalent to DVD quality. The technical specifications are: DVD equivalent resolution, a bitrate of 1500 Kbps with 96Kbps audio. The average size of a full length movie download is 1100 MB (1.1 GB).


• How long does it take to download a video?
  The file download should take about the same time as it does for any file from a website to download. Depending on the size and quality of the video file (the length of the video + its encoded bitrate), your computer's processor speed, the strength and stability of your internet connection and the number of other programs you are running simultaneously while downloading the file, this should be anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours.
